Galvanized channels are A36 hot rolled steel, or mild steel, channels that have been dipped into a molten zinc coating process (ASTM A123). Hot-dipped galvanize (HDG) can be identified by its crystallization pattern, also known as “spangle” on the surface of the material. Strut is normally made of sheet steel, with a zinc coating (galvanized), paint, epoxy, powder coat, or other finish. Strut channels support conduit, pipe, electrical and duct with long-lasting strength and durability. They are made from a pre-galvanized steel sheet that has been passed through a molten zinc bath.
